Ace Water Spa weekend for the soul

Take a Staycation in Pasig Alone or with Friends.

Ace Water Spa has always been the go-to place for me and my friend group. Since we’re from Bulacan, we were closer to the Quezon City branch, and we would often take quick day trips. We went to the Pasig branch once but that was way before the pandemic started.

Anyway, we never had a bad experience with Ace Waterspa. It’s the perfect place to relax and give your body a well-deserved massage.

The pandemic robbed me of quality time with friends – even now when we’ve finally eased up on restrictions. Not only that, I went from daily trips to our office gym to zero due to our permanent work-from-home setup. Hey, beggars can’t be choosers! I shouldn’t be complaining as I’m lucky we decided to continue working from home.

Ace Water Spa Weekend Reprieve

This April, I finally found the perfect time to book an overnight stay at Ace Hotel. I booked one night because I wanted to maximize my weekend.

Booking was easy with booking.com. I have used the booking.com app for staycations whenever I need to report to the office in Makati. They have great deals and the transaction was super easy. This is not a sponsored post. Just spreading the good word, I suppose.

Arrival

I arrived just in time for the 2:00 check-in. There was a queue in the reception area, as there were a lot of people staying for the weekend. I was pretty quick since I booked online and I had vaccination cards ready.

I was given a room on the 11th floor.

Honestly, I had low expectations because I only knew Ace for their pools and the pretty awesome buffet they had on the ground floor but the room really exceeded my expectations and more.

The room was spacious, clean, well lighted, and cozy. I guess the room photos on their website were pretty old because my room had modern-style furniture.

After checking in, I decided to wait until 6:00 PM to hit the pools. I connected our family’s Netflix account to the widescreen TV and watched the last two episodes of Business Proposal. I saved those episodes for my Ace Water Spa Weekend!

I also had Grab Mart deliver snacks for me because I didn’t know there was a 7-11 AND a supermarket beside the hotel.

Pool Hours
I spent 2.5 hours at the pool. Try to go to the pools at the start of each time slot so there are fewer people in the pool at a given time.

Nabbed from Ace Waterspa website. No one knows how to use this section. People often go in between the columns, super annoying!

When you’re done with the jet pool, move to the therapeutic pools! Check out the steam room and the sauna too.

My booking comes with a free breakfast. I am an early riser so I woke up at 5:00 AM, I went down at exactly 7:00, had breakfast, and went back to the pools.

The breakfast buffet was phenomenal! Watch out for the lemon chicken. It was *chef’s kiss*.

The morning slot was also a good time to go to the pools. In fact, I was out in the pools until 9:30 AM when the crowds came in. I went back to my room to relax and watch Kpop MVs until it was time for checkout.

I nabbed this from the Ace Waterspa website. Therapeutic pools for relaxation

I look forward to going back again for another R&R day. Hopefully, I can take my brother and sister, or my friends.
